UMMM??? Has anyone else on here seen this??? They’re touting living beings as fashion accessories and selling them online, sight unseen, no sort of screening required that I can see. This is disgusting and should be illegal imo

oh godd is this real??

“pre-order puppy” yuck

that’s not even the worst part; they just called a french bull dog a “wardrobe essential”.

i honestly don’t even know where to begin with all this and i’m praying to god this is some sort of joke.

hey guys it’s real.

(don’t look at this website unless u want to puke because they literally call a pomeranian puppy “a good accent to a fur coat”)

From the looks of it this is just a really, really, really bad ad campaign. If you go on the website the links are broken and won’t redirect you to a new page if you select “About us” (although that could just be my phone) and when you select “pre-order puppy” it opens up your gmail with an email address typed in.

I’m on mobile so I can’t link the article, but I found this on mirror.com:

“And Lyst’s head of global communications Joanna Christie recently said the company would be launching more ‘provocative’ PR campaigns.

“We feel strongly that people will either love or hate the campaign,” she said.

The company also recently hired Christian Woolfenden who oversaw a number of controversial campaigns at Paddy Power including the infamous Oscar Pistorius ad that prompted more than 5,000 complaints to the Advertising Standards Authority.“

As of now no one really knows if it’s real or not, but my guess is that it’s just a really bad PR campaign as stated above or maybe it’s to bring awareness to dog shelters (?) we’ll see. So right now there’s no reason to go into a tailspin about this company selling puppies as accessories, but you can get upset over the fact that if it is just a PR campaign it’s in incredibly bad taste and is sending a horrible message.

Dogs are not toys, or objects, or accessories. They are living, breathing beings that require love and care and deserve happy, loving homes.
